Dan and Laura have been married for 34 years, and Dan has been a lifelong resident of the Shakopee community. Together, Dan and Laura have four children, two son-in-laws and two grandchildren (with one on the way!).
In April 2015, Dan was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer; it has, unfortunately, spread to his liver, and Dan has been getting chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the last ten months.
The friends and family of Dan and Laura are putting together a St. Patrick's Day fundraiser to help alleviate some of the medical costs from Dan's treatments.
Dan and his family have expressed many times how fortunate they have been to have the support of their family and friends throughout this journey. Many have provided their support through prayers, meals and stopping in to just say hi and check in on how everyone is doing. The family has appreciated everyone's support and positive outlook as they have been navigating their way through this huge turn in the road. With Dan's diagnosis, he has not worked since this time. Dan had worked with UPS for 34 years and Laura is a SACS school teacher for the past 31 years. Any donation will be greatly appreciated to help offset medical costs and ease some financial strain.
