My sister and I, like many, have run into financial hardship. Both of us have been laid off from our former jobs in January, and since then we've been coasting by on savings and on the assistance of friends. We've been searching for work and while we have had some bites, we haven't had anything solid and we need the help to at least keep a roof over our heads for the next two-four months while we figure out how to go forward. Our landlord has been very patient but it has run out and we are in dire straits.

We have been threatened with eviction by June 17th if we do not pay for this month's rent; the rental assistance program we've applied for is also looking for proof we can pay for the rent so they can help pay off the back rent.

I am asking for the next 3 months rent + a portion of the backlog on our bills so we can make an actual plan to pack and leave. Any little bit helps us and we hope to be able to get back on our feet soon. I hate to ask for so much, but we have very little else we can turn to as my sister waits to hear back from two different jobs and I am attempting to finish college and balance work.
