SUMBTC's Chemo-baskets
There are over 180 new patients admitted into Upper Peninsula Health System-Marquette neuro-oncology unit every year. The Students for the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center (SUMBTC) are making chemo-baskets for patients undergoing chemotherapy. Within each of these baskets are items that we hope will bring each patient comfort during treatment. The SUMBTC is a group of students at Northern Michigan University that raise funds and awareness for Glioblastoma multiforme, which is the disease that the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center focuses on.
We hope to raise enough money to make 50 baskets with each basket being $20. If you would like to sponser a chemo-basket,please leave a message below and we will include a card with your/your organization's name in the basket. Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity and support in our efforts to help comfort the individuals that are suffering from the disease that we are seeking to improve our understanding of.
