Swonke Recovery fund

Hello, My name is Gina Alvarado. I am the niece of Lonnie and Reba Swonke. On March 21, 2022, an F2 tornado ripped through the little town of Elgin, TX. Lonnie and Reba saw the tornado coming, so they grabbed their puppy and hid in their main bedroom closet. As the tornado beat down on their little farm, they held on to one another, praying God would keep them safe. Once the tornado passed, they realized the amount of devastation around them. Nothing was left untouched, the house(total loss), barns(completely gone), chicken coup and chickens (gone), cars (totaled), the list goes on. There are no words to describe the amount of devastation they walked outside and saw. Lonnie, a Vietnam veteran, started immediately to clear debris so they could get out safely. Their family and friends have come by to help when they can. They have other issues to deal with on top of the clean-up. While they do have some insurance, it will not be enough to get them back to where they were. High insurance deductibles and not having enough to replace vehicles have caused a heavy burden on them. So, we have decided to start this fund to help Lonnie and Reba alleviate this burden that they now share. We appreciate any help given. May God bless you.
