There was once a young girl with a dream to work in a Brazilian orphanage. As she grew up, that dream waited patiently in the back of her mind. One sunny day, while she and her dear friend were strolling near Sylvan Lake, her friend got the travel bug.
Jenny: “Let’s go somewhere, Janna. Let’s just go somewhere. Where do you want to go?
With that, the two friends began dreaming and making plans. They knew their trip would have great purpose, it was just a matter of working out the details…

Janna Doerksen and Jenny Hofer leave for Fortaleza, Brazil at the end of June. For the month of July, we’ve arranged to volunteer with Davis Lar Children’s Home. They have presented us with opportunities related to our careers; Jenny with nursing and Janna with teaching ESL.
We request both financial and prayerful support, the latter being the most important.
