Februray 17, 2012 our sweet aunt, mother, sister, friend, wife, godmother and daughter, Terese Thole, lost her battle to Colon Cancer. April 20, 2012 (9 weeks later) her sister and best friend, Mary Erickson, lost her battle to Brain Cancer. To this day, 2012 still seems to be a horrible nightmare that we can't awaken from. The loss of two such loved women has had an impact on our lives and it still doesn't seem real.

Since then, life has not been easy for us, especially for the Thole family. In 2013 our beautiful cousin, wife, daughter, sister, mother, godmother, granddaughter  and friend, Katie Thole, was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. In natural Katie fashion, she faced this horrible disease head on and she WON. 

2014 was a year for Katie and her family to move-on (cancer FREE!) and begin a new life with her wife Ashley by welcoming their adorable little leprechaun son into the world, Crosby. He has been the greatest blessing. 

March 2015, the Thole family was hit again with the unimaginable news; the cancer is back, and on Katie's liver.

Katie is the most selfless person we know. She has been  taking this horrific disease head on for the second time and is undergoing intense chemotherapy treatments (all while still grieving the loss of her mother and aunt). 

When asking Katie if there is anything we can do to help, she responds, "Just please be there for my sister."

This year, in honor of our lost loved ones, we would like to donate the proceeds from the Sister's WOD to Katie Thole and her family while they fight this life changing battle for the third time.
