Who are we?
Swink Elementary school: 5th and 6th grade ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies teachers and students
What do we need?
60 iPad 4s with keyboard covers
What is our goal?
We are trying to raise 16,000 dollars to cover purchase costs and gofundme.com fees.
Why do we need these?
-Our students need reliable and current technological devices.
-Teachers frequently use technology to enhance their curriculum to meet state standards.
-Students would be able to better develop creative and innovative skills.
-They would enable students to explore information beyond textbooks using virtual or face-to-face learning activities and real world applications.
-They would provide our students the tools to compete with other college-bound students in larger and more advanced districts.
-Students will develop the essential skills needed for them to be competitive in future college and workforce careers.
This year we have struggled to provide our students with adequate technology to support and enhance our curriculum. We have been using out-of-date computers that have caused us to miss many learning opportunities. Your support would be greatly appreciated and would make a huge difference in our classrooms.
