Swing Set For Darren and Housemates
This August will mark 2 years that Darren left Devereux’s Behavioral Health Residential Facility and stepped down to a intensive behavior Devereux Group Home in Palm Bay. He is the most stable that he has been in 5 years and that has taken a lot of sacrifice and patience. When he moved in, we were overwhelmed by love and support as so many contributed to new bedding, clothing, and necessities to help make this his new home. As he enters his Senior year and approaches his 18th birthday we want to give back to the home that has provided 24/7 support for Darren. It’s not easy to let go and allow others to care for our children…Devereux done that for Darren.
The current swing set is an old wooden structure that is rotting and is not age appropriate at this point. It also only has 2 swings that have been fixed many times to support the weight of these young men.
I would LOVE to raise enough money to install the swing set below along with a new table where families can visit. Per the group home manager, all of the boys love to swing and no longer use the climbing apparatus. Any donation is so appreciated and will directly impact Darren and his housemates.
