Swimming the English Channel has always been a dream of mine, but it took on a whole new meaning after I was diagnosed with cancer. While preparing for the swim, I underwent a routine medical test that unexpectedly revealed I had testicular cancer. Within days, I found myself in the operating room, facing a reality I never anticipated. The experience was overwhelming, but it also gave me a deep sense of responsibility to use my journey for something bigger than myself.

Now, as I recover from surgery and set my sights back on the Channel, I am more determined than ever to complete this swim—not just for me, but to bring awareness to male health. My diagnosis was discovered by chance, and I know that many men might not be so lucky.
