Hello there,
This summer, I will attempt to swim across Lake Geneva in Switzerland during an event called La Classique. It's a swim distance of 13 km from Lausanne to Évian-les-Bains and will take place on the 11th of July.
A challenge I wish to dedicate to children fighting cancer, especially little Cleo.
Six months ago, one of my close friends told me that his young niece Cleo had been diagnosed with cancer. Seeing a child go through a battle like this is heartbreaking and puts many things into perspective.
Her story made me reflect once again on how fragile life can be.
By swimming across Lake Léman and gathering donations, I hope to turn this challenge into something that can make a real difference for children and families facing cancer today.
All donations will go to organisations dedicated to improving the lives of children with cancer and their families:
Make-A-Wish Belgium helps grant wishes to children with critical illnesses and brings moments of joy, strength, and hope to them and their families.
KickCancer supports research and initiatives dedicated to better treatments and care for children with cancer.
Would you prefer to support the organisations directly?
For Belgian tax residents, donations above €40 are eligible for a tax certificate.
You are welcome to support one organisation of your choice with a single donation, or both organisations through two separate donations if you would like to support both causes and receive a tax certificate for each.
This is possible through the links below:
Every donation, no matter how small, truly means a lot. Thank you for being part of this journey.
And maybe I'll see some of you in Lausanne on the 11th of July,
Levi
