Swimming for a good cause - and for Hannes!
Dear all,
On September 3 I will be swimming once more the Dock2Dock race in London's Royal Docks.
This time in memory of my wonderful father Hannes who sadly died on July 30 suddenly at the age of 81. Hannes loved life and was always up for a challenge, especially on the football pitch as a professional player in Germany in the 1960s. He taught me to see every challenge as an opportunity and to push myself to get over the finishing line.
As Hannes admired the work of Medecins Sans Frontieres, I want to fundraise for this good cause. MSF currently provides vital work in Ukraine and Afghanistan, both countries I was lucky to travel to and meet wonderful people.
I know from experience of past charity events how much your donations motivate. This time they will mean even more to me. Thank you! Stefanie
