Swimming Club in Balga

Hi

my name is Jas and I’m setting up this fundraiser to help assist in progressing forward with getting a swimming club up and running at Stirling Leisure Balga. There is a community need for this to ensure retention in the sport. After 17 years coaching myself, I’m wanting to give back to the community in a way that has not been done before, by offering squad training that focuses on smaller numbers for juniors and focuses on specific elements for teenagers. I want to ensure the space I offer for teens comes without pressure and values opportunities for those involved in MultiSport programs.

I have not been working for the last 18 months due to being at home with my little boy. Due to this, I need help with funds to get this off the ground and running.

funds will be used to help assist with the first month of lane hire, insurance and uniforms etc.

any remaining funds will assist in becoming affiliated with Swimming WA - which cost ~$700-$800 annually

The closest clubs to Balga, Mirrabooka and surrounds are 20-25min drive. This isn’t feasible or sustainable for those who may want to prioritise other sports or have heavy homework commitments

Please help make swimming accessible to ALL communities
