Noah Herniman is an extraordinary, humble teenager from Chepstow on an incredible mission. Despite being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour at the core of his brain a year ago he is fundraising to provide a retreat for families who are living with cancer or undergoing treatment.
Noah says making memories with loved ones is invaluable, especially when life is difficult. He believes it’s vital that people have time to make memories that you want to remember and not just those sitting in a hospital or even your own living room. He doesn’t want to raise funds for himself where he'll be sent abroad for treatment that is really non-existent at the moment, “I want to live here and now”
I have worked alongside Noah at Chepstow School as a TLA and want to help raise money for his dream of a holiday home for families in similar situations to be able to use and create those precious memories.
I have set myself the challenge of swimming 100 lengths non-stop at Freedom Leisure, Lydney, approximately 1.5miles on Friday 21st October. I will be accompanied throughout by my son Ben and Andy Lewis, GB Paralympian, for a few lengths at the finish.
All funds donated will go towards purchasing a holiday home in the UK to be used by families in a similar situation.
