Swim team of Queens, NY needs your help!
Donation protected
In Astoria, Queens there is a relatively small but mighty swim team with tremendous spirit, one of the top teams in the Metropolitan Division in NYC. As a team, the inspiring coaches and 65 swimmers (ages 7 – 18) continuously try to achieve their full potential. They are learning about themselves throughout their journey as swimmers, and the sport inherently instills valuable life lessons in them. And the community around them would love nothing more but to give the support and tools, these young swimmers need to continue to prosper and reach their dreams in the highly competitive world of swimming.
These kids are absolutely in love with swimming, and they have the true potential to achieve great results on their journey. We would love to give them an opportunity to become the best they can be and chase the Olympic dream. Unfortunately, these dreams do not come easy, especially financially.
One specific goal the team has set for this year is to challenge itself in more competitive swim meets! The team hopes to travel to Austin, Texas, to compete on May 12-15th, 2022. This meet is very important to the Vipers Swim Team. Since COVID-19 hit them hard mentally and financially, this is their real opportunity to shave, taper, and compete at such a high level. But to attend, they need to fundraise $30,000. As the Vipers family, together with coaches, we will do everything in our power to give them the best chance to pursue this journey, but we do need your help.
We have created this page to support their trip. The swimmers cannot wait for this four-day opportunity and are hungry for big results in Texas. We ask you to donate whatever you can to help cover the airfare, hotel, team registrations and practice expenses while making this a memorable experience for these amazing kids! All your generous pledges will be transferred by me (as the fundraiser) to the coaches who will then allocate the funds our fantastic swimmers!
The swimmers and coaches cannot thank you enough!
