Swim for Sierra a 25-Mile International Lake Swim on Lake Memphremagog, Vermont to Support a Brave Teen’s Fight
On August 15th, I’ll be taking on a 25-mile international lake swim from Canada to Vermont—Swim for Sierra—in honor of an extraordinary young woman who means so much to our community.
Sierra Putnam is a vibrant Vermont high school student recently diagnosed with Fusion-positive Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a very aggressive subtype of this rare disease. It is located in the temporalis muscle near her left temple, and she is undergoing treatment with incredible strength and courage.
Her parents—Adam and Rachel, both devoted medical professionals—have spent their lives caring for others. Now, as they walk this path alongside Sierra and her sister Sage, we have an opportunity to give something back.
I’m swimming to help ease the emotional and financial burden that comes with treatment—so the Putnam family can focus on what matters most: healing and being together.
100% of donations raised through the GoFundMe campaign go to Sierra and the Putnam family and will go directly to the family to help with:
Medical costs
Travel and accommodations for treatment
Specialized care and therapy
Day-to-day needs and unexpected expenses
No amount is too small. Every donation is a show of love, strength, and solidarity.
Let’s rally around Sierra and her family and show them just how deeply they are supported and loved.
With gratitude,
Charlotte Brynn
Please note that GoFundMe will transfer donations straight to the Putnam Family. GoFundMe automatically deducts a small payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30 per donation) before sending funds to the Putnam Family.
