I (Kylie) am swimming 5 miles to help the American Cancer Society (ACS) fight for a world without cancer. This is a very meaningful cause to me because cancer took my Grandpa before I had a chance to meet him. I know he is watching over me and cheering for me at every swim meet!

Grandpa had Gastroesophageal Junction (GEJ) cancer, a type of cancer that develops where the esophagus (food pipe) connects to the stomach. It is considered rare, aggressive, and prognosis is poor…patients go to heaven not remission.
