Hello parents, children, and my fellow family. I’m glad to announce I will be helping to contribute to this amazing organization to help find a cure for cancer. While doing this I will be able to swim up to 5 miles or even more to do my due diligence of supporting this cause.
Now you know a little bit of what I’m going to bring to this cause, let me tell you a little bit about myself. Hello again, I am Amelia, I am 13 years old, and live on the Northern side of the United States. I love to hangout with my family, cuddle with my pets (I have 3 pets by the way) and sketch. Ever since I stepped foot in water, I never left it. Around 2-3 years old, I started to learn how to play in the water and get a quite good understanding of the basics of floating, holding my breath, and maybe a doggy paddle or too. But around 4 years old, I learned how to properly keep my head up and out of the water, swim with cation, and learn how to swim in the ocean by myself. About 1-2 years later, my mom saw my passion of swimming and decided to put me in swim classes at our local swim school, called Gold Fish, to help enhance my capabilities of swimming, from being able to understand how to swim and keep my head up out of the water to learning strokes and being able to stay in the water for longer periods of time. Throughout my years of doing these classes, age 7 hits and my swim coaches are already asking me to join the swim team at our local YMCA. But both my mom and I were little uncertained about joining it at first because I would be one of the youngest there and personally in my body I knew I wasn’t quite ready yet. Ages 8.9,10 hits and they still ask me “Do you want to join” but I still kept denying it. From ages 11-12 years I finally got the courage and tried out for the swim team and a few weeks later the results came in!! And guess what!! I MADE THE TEAM! But the slight problems is that I will be needing to work 10 times harder in classes then I ever did before. Sooner then later, it was time for my first class and since then I’ve been rocking out with it. Estimating another a year later, I decided to take a step back for a year to kinda center myself and kinda just have breaks from everyone. So throughout my time of not swimming, I tended to scroll a lot on social media and one day I saw a post come up about this fundraiser and it was about swimming. So I though deeply about it and just decided to go for it. And now this is where I am, right here, right now.
Since you read these short two paragraph about myself and this fundraiser, I hope you can put me in consideration of donating to. Thank you for reading my “About Me” and now I will be watching ️️ to see if my goal has gone up! Again thank you and please, please, put for consideration.
