I’m swimming 5 miles during August to help the American Cancer Society (ACS) fight for a world without cancer. This is a very meaningful cause to me. I’m posting this more as an accountability device.

As I’m swimming all those laps, I will be thinking about how much cancer sucks, how much Ben enjoyed swimming laps when he was healthy and how much he loved the waters of Interlochen's Duck Lake.

If you can give it a few dollars that would be great, but if you only cheer me on, I would thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Update, 8/6: I've swum nearing a kilometer in Duck Lake this week. More to come.
