Ed "Swift" Bautista has a very steep hill to climb.  I do not know the medical terminology of what he has been diagnosed with, but he urgently needs surgery on his right eye. 

The point here is he's potentially losing sight - permanently.  In the end of it all, surgery and everything that comes along with it bears a cost that many cannot simply cover.
