Hi everyone,

My name is Chasney, but most of you know me as Sweetpea . On May 25, 2025, after weeks of pain, appointments, and unanswered questions, I received a life-changing diagnosis: Stage 2 Osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer.

What started as a painful lump in my leg turned into a journey I never expected. For weeks, I went back and forth with doctors, feeling like something just wasn’t right. I decided to take my health into my own hands—advocating for myself, researching, and following my intuition. An open biopsy on May 14th gave no answers, but just days later, I got the call no one wants: “Come in as soon as you can.” That Friday, my diagnosis was confirmed.

I’m sharing this not for sympathy, but because I believe in the power of truth, vulnerability, and community. Too many suffer in silence—I choose to walk a different path. If my journey helps even one person trust their body or feel less alone, then this is all worth it.

The road ahead will be challenging—emotionally, physically, and financially. I’ll be facing treatment, time off work, travel to specialists, and the many unexpected costs that come with cancer.
