It is during hard times that people learn who care about them and who to turn to when the chips are down. It is with a heavy heart we learned that Josh and Kelsey Pilcher's baby, Jovie Pilcher (14 months old) passed away yesterday, Oct. 14th, on Josh's Birthday. She had been running a high fever over the weekend so Josh and Kelsey brought her to the doctor. The doctors believed she had a virus and sent her home to rest on Tuesday. She woke up from her nap limp. They rushed back in and she coded early Wednesday morning while at the doctor. She was flown to Rochester (via Mayo 1). Upon arrival it was discovered that her brain lost oxygen and the virus had taken over her vital organs. Her little body wasn't able to fight off the virus and sadly passed away thereafter.
"Yesterday our lil girl started her walk with Jesus with one hand in His, and her lil Ellie blankie in the other.. words cannot express the pain our family is going through. I can only say I find comfort in knowing she is in a better place. She is in good hands and there was a reason He needed her even though we don't fully understand it right now.. we thank everybody for their love and support and ask for continued prayers as we start this life long adjustment." -Josh
He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
