Sweetie needs an emergency op to save her life
Donation protected
UPDATE : Sweetie is now home & on 6 weeks cage rest. She’s still not eating or moved her bowels which is a worry and I’ll make a call to the vet tomorrow about this.
she is absolutely hating her crate but it’s essential. I take her out for cuddles & also medication, but this seems to make her more frantic to get back out again bless her.
thsnk tih do do much to those who gave donated since my last update, snd for continuing to share the go fund me page. I will keep it open until her second operation which is to have her tail amputated x
UPDATE :
I am delighted to update you all that thanks to your kind generosity Sweetie has been able to have her operation today. She has come through it well , and is in recovery. Still neurological tests to have done later on today..but the vet thinks she will be ok to come home tomorrow. I cannot thank you all enough for what you’ve done and raised for her, and I will be eternally grateful. She still needs her tail amputated in a few weeks time at a further cost, so please keep sharing her go fund me page far and wide. Thank you
Hi my name is Tracey and Sweetie is my 8 year old ragdoll cat. She is also an emotional support animal to my boy Conner who has complex special needs. 2 days ago on thurs 5 th of September she was sadly hit by a car outside our garden & obtained serious internal injuries. Her pelvis has been completely dislocated from her spine & she has a tail pull injury which requires her tail to be amputated & her pelvis reattached. Sadly in the Falkirk postcode area we are not covered by any charities like the PDSA so I have to find the money myself for the costly vet care bill & the major orthopaedic operation she will have on Friday to repair her pelvis. Without this operation she will have to be put to sleep, which I just cannot bear let happen without trying everything I can to save her wee life . Sweetie is such a wonderfully loving, chilled out happy family pet, and to lose her would break both our hearts, but especially Conners. We have had her from a tiny kitten and she is a massive part of our family. I myself am physically disabled and at home 99% of the time and my 2 cats and wee dog are what keep me going each day. I’m also Conners unpaid carer, so relying on benefits each week did not allow me to afford pet insurance, which I did initially have but had to cancel to tighten the financial purse strings.
Please help me to save Sweetie and give her the best chance of recovering from this awful accident. It was essentially a hit & run which makes the whole thing feel even worse.
Every single penny raised will be transferred to Apex Vets in Denny to pay for her bills. If by the grace of god there’s any extra, it will be put to building a small catio in the back garden so she can still go outside which she loves so much , but in a safe environment.
Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart, Conners too to anyone who kindly donates, I’m eternally greatful
