Help Caroline Kate Fight Cancer!
Donation protected
Hi Everyone, My little niece Caroline Kate was just diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer called neuroblastoma. She has a large tumor that spans from her right kidney across her abdomen, which was also found in her chest lymph nodes as well. In only a weeks time, she went from being a normal-energetic 8 year old girl, doing gymnastics and attending school, to having biopsy’s, endless scans and IVs, bone marrow/stem cell removal, and a chemo port placed in her chest. She was recently transported by ambulance up to Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta and is now receiving chemo there with an estimated treatment regimen taking place over the next 18 months, which will include multiple chemo sessions, radiations, and hopefully surgery once they can shrink the tumor.
Caroline has 3 little brothers (Ellis, Lake, and Bowen) that are at home right now being taken care of by our family and friends so her parent’s Grant and Erin can stay by her side. As scary as this is, Caroline has been resilient and taken this head on! Caroline even donated additional bone marrow, stems cells, and samples of her tumor for further research to help other children that get this awful disease in the future! We’d appreciate any help- no matter how big or small- which will go towards Caroline’s medical bills and family expenses while everyone works together to help her beat cancer! Thank you!
