Sweet Winter Music Video
On a cold December night, Brianna jumped off the second floor of a transport truck, destined for slaughter, on Route 80 in New Jersey. Mike Stura was called to assist with this "runaway" cow. After a long night, she was released to Mike and brought back to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Wantage NJ, the place WHERE COWS LIVE.
2 days later, Brianna gave birth, to Winter. "Brianna the cow" is NOT just a cow. She is a MOTHER, who would do anything to save her baby, as any parent would.
Brianna's strength and determination to fulfill her role as a Mom inspired me, and one night, I just began to write. It was very late, but my 8 yr old son, Roman, insisted that he write with me and we stayed up until we were done. Within the next two days, we would have a song. And here you have it! A loving tribute to Brianna and Winter, and to everyone else who loves and cares for another living being.
The Skylands provides care to hundreds of animals daily. Once living with a designated number waiting for their unhappy ending, they are now safe. Living with names. Loved, as it should be. Medical care is also provided when needed, and can become quite costly on a reoccurring basis.
Roman's ultimate dream for this song, is not only to raise awareness to the emotional lives of animals, but to raise enough funds for Skylands to maybe one day have a hospital of their own. A big dream for a little boy, but one that he believes in, and one that he is already envisioning.

Every dollar will help care for the animals of Skylands. It is estimated, that they will utilize a minimum of 20,000 bales of hay during this winter. With your help, Winter won't be as cold this year.
