I am in desperate need of help!! My sweet Sugar is still in need of a new Foster parent/rescue or permanent home. If anyone on the West Coast knows a foster or Rescue that can help, please PM me.

I rescued Sugar from being Euthanized earlier this year with the intent of fostering her and finding her a permanent home. Sugar needed training and support which I have provided, and Sugar has opened up quite a bit since living with me. She is crate trained and great on a leash, but truly her favorite thing is running free, and playing with other dogs.

She is a wonderful dog, but placing her has been challenging as she needs to be in a child-free environment(she gets overwhelmed with the high energy of young children) and needs an owner that has the time and energy to keep up with her.

I have recently moved to a very small pet free apartment in a co-living environment, and must find a new home for Sugar ASAP!! I do not want to surrender her to a shelter as she is such a great dog, and I fear that if she is living in a cage again, all the hard work of the past months will be undone and Sugar could regress back into her state of sadness that we found her in. Also, I will absolutely not surrender her anywhere(in LA area)that could end in Euthanization.

So, Sugar is currently staying with her dog-sitter's facility, which is a cage free environment, where she goes on pack walks and absolutely loves being with the other dogs.

If anyone knows a foster or Rescue who could take her in (even temporarily) it would be a miracle for her. I have been looking for a foster or new home for her for months, but I’m really in need of help.

*I AM CURRENTLY PAYING FOR SUGAR TO STAY FULL TIME WITH HER DOG -SITTER AND I HAVE RUN OUT OF FUNDS TO KEEP HER THERE…

I AM TRYING TO GET A DISCOUNT TO BOARD HER FOR THE REST OF SEPTEMBER…BUT EVEN WITH A DISCOUNT, BETWEEN FOOD & BOARDING-I WILL BE SPENDING AT LEAST $1000(which I just do not have)!!

IF I CAN FIND SUGAR A HOME BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH OR IF I RAISE MORE $$ THAN I NEED…I WILL DONATE/SPONSOR ANOTHER DOG AT CARSON SHELTER(WHERE I FOSTERED SUGAR FROM)…

I HAVE PUT TOGETHER THIS GOFUNDME IN THE HOPES OF COVERING AT LEAST SOME OF THE COSTS TO KEEP SUGAR SAFE AND HAPPY WHILE I CONTINUE TO SEARCH FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION…
