Sweet Sophie & Her Family
Donation protected
Hi, I own Amy's Active Learning in Clinton and have had the pleasure to get to know the Silva/Fanning family during my toddler programs. Mariana and William are a local family and have two sweet little girls, Sophie and a newborn named Abby. Sophie has been enjoying every minute of playing in my studio, and her sweet demeanor and energy doesn't go unnoticed.
Unfortunately, Sophie's family has recently faced the unimaginable. Sophie was just diagnosed with ataxia with oculomotor apraxia, which is a very rare degenerative brain disease that has no treatment or cure. The only thing Sophie can focus on to slow down the progression is to exercise, although her progression is happening rather quickly.
Sophie's mom is unable to work now and they have one income with all of the upcoming medical bills, special vitamins and medicine, and also all of the adaptations they will need to create for Sophie as her progression worsens. While the Silva/Fanning family is trying to wrap their head around this unthinkable news and their future, the only thoughts in my head right now are how can our community help????
The Silva/Fanning family would like to focus on the NOW with their little girls...and making as many memories as possible. Please help this family by donating any amount possible to help them with their medical bills, adaptations/accommodations, and most importantly to help raise money so Mariana and William can take their girls to places and make memories. As hard as it is to ask for help, the Silva/Fanning family will need all the love and support from our community as much as possible right now.
