Hello everyone. My name is Ashley and I’m raising funds for a sick, injured feral cat in my neighborhood. He is one of the sweetest cats I ever met and even in his time of pain he has been so loving. Around the 4th of July, he got into a fight with another cat, disappeared for a few days, then came back skinnier, with two large swellings on his head and neck. Over the last few days, they have been draining pus, and he looks to be in a lot of pain. It is very hot in Modesto where I’m at, and I’m fearful it’s making his condition worse. My neighbor was able to get into contact with the Kirkland Foundation, who's 95 miles away from us, and they could help him for around $300, and then there would be travel costs. All funds would be going directly to Mr. Mediums' (the name we call him) care. He deserves a chance, and my neighbor and I have spent so much and helped previous strays. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

(RESCUE NEEDED

Hello. Looking for assistance with a cat with swelling around his eye and neck and getting thinner. He’s a sweet older cat, but I have no money or anything to help him right now. I’m afraid it’ll be too late. He’s still eating and drinking water but takes a few steps and lays down. I’m located in Modesto/Ceres, and anything would greatly help.

July 16, 2025 update from my neighbor:

“‼️The condition of this poor baby has drastically deteriorated since this post and is in urgent need of medical help. I've messaged rescues and Stanislaus Animal Services Agency about potential treatment (waiting to hear back). He has multiple open wounds with pus, and I'm hesitant to touch him or try to transport him, fearing it will only make things worse. If anyone works with a rescue that can help, please let me know in the comments or PM.”

Please, if anyone could come out and help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. I currently have multiple kittens around my house and am struggling to find homes or rescues for them as well. Care credit is fully maxed out from helping previous strays, my dog is currently sick (last of care credit to help him), and my car won’t start. Anything would help. He is still alive but very sickly.
