Help Mama on her journey to a FURever home!

CONTEXT

Hello! This is "Mama"! About a month ago, she was rescued along with her two pups from an owner who was just giving them away. The 3 dogs had been chained up in the yard with no water in the scorching heat (presumably for many hours) and the owner just handed them all off to this group of teenagers. While the pups were easily placed in new homes quickly, we did not have the same luck with "mama." While she is very gentle and sweet with people, she is very distracted by and reactive to other animals.

WHY WE ARE FUNDRAISING

Reactive dogs are just difficult to home and it has now been a month with very little interest in fostering or adopting her. A wonderful opportunity has come up for her to partake in an intensive training program with several expert trainers in Waco TX followed by another three-week board and train back in Arkansas. The goal of this training is to try to reduce her reactivity and work on her animal aggression issues in hopes of making her an easier adoption. This training could mean life or death for her but is not an inexpensive prospect.

Without proper conditioning, we fear she will be unable to find a home, leaving us with two undesirable options --turnover to a shelter or humane euthanasia. Although we aren't in a position to keep this sweet girl, we are doing our best to do right by her. She is a sweet girl who is worth the effort. Thanks for any help offered.
