Sweet little Lainey Bug and the Urlacher family

Hi, my name is Bridget Trainor. This is a fundraiser organized to help ease some stress and give Jesse and Lacey Urlacher a little support as they navigate the long road ahead of them. After a battle with high blood pressure and pre eclampsia, Lacey was admitted to Sanford hospital in Bismarck ND, Sunday Mar 12th at 26 weeks pregnant. Despite immediate care Lacey went in to eclampsia experiencing a seizure in the night and was taken into the OR for an emergency c section. Little miss Lainey JoeAnn Urlacher arrived Monday March 13th at 6:08 am. weighing in at just 1 lb. 15.7 oz. and 13 and 3/4inches long. For as tiny as she is she is proving to have an amazing amount of fight, sass and attitude! Her nurses have nicknamed her "Fiesty" and her brother Grayson thinks Superman is a perfect name for her. The Dr's. say she is doing well but will need time to grow and get strong. At this time she remains intubated, has required 2 blood transfusions and had a little episode with one of her lungs, however she continues to tackle each new challenge like a champ! They predict, as is typical with preemies that her stay will likely last until her due date which is June 18th, give or take depending on how she progresses. That being said we can all imagine what a trying time this will be for Lacey and Jesse as well as Laineys siblings, Braelee, Daisy and Grayson. The months of Lacey and Jesse traveling 2hrs (one way) back and forth from Dickinson to Bismarck will weigh heavily emotionally and financially as they attempt to balance their family, work and travel for what could be the next 3 to 4 months at best. The cost of the many miles they will travel, coupled with Lacey having to cut way back on her hours at work will prove to be a financial hurdle for them. "This too shall pass" but in the meantime this will prove to be a stressful and difficult time for them as they work through this little bump in the road. Please keep Jesse, Lacey, Braelee, Daisy, Grayson and sweet little Lainey bug in your thoughts and prayers.
