Sweet Little Abigail

Donation protected
My sister Kelli and her husband Drew Mancuso have been blessed with the birth of their 2 beautiful twin girls Kennedy and Abigail born December 7th, 2021. They were born at just 34 weeks and were in the NICU for several weeks. Kennedy came in weighing just about 4 LBS and Abigail weighed about 5 LBS. Kelli and Drew were heartbroken to learn that Abigail was born with some major medical conditions. She has a severe cleft palate and lip, Kidney Hydronephrotic, Hypoplastic left optic nerve, Bilateral Microphthalmia, and a handful of other medical conditions. Microphthalmia is a condition that both her eyes are underdeveloped, and she will have severely diminished vision and could potentially be blind in one if not both eyes. Kelli and Drew were completely blindsided by little Abigail's multiple medical conditions. Kelli routinely saw her regular OBGYN an a high risk OBGYN. Not one doctor caught these medical conditions during her entire pregnancy.
For the last 2 months Kelli and Drew have been addressing her medical conditions one step at a time. Seeing physical and speech therapist, Cardiologist, Kidney Specialist, Plastic Surgeon and a world class eye doctor up in Westchester, NY. Kelli's maternity leave with her newborn baby girls has been replaced with constantly running to doctor to doctor. Watching Abigail go through the things she has and what she will have to in the future is heartbreaking. She will have to go through multiple surgeries over the next few years. Thankfully they have the support of family and friends to help them through this trying time. But even with the abundance of support these past few weeks and for years to come will be very trying.
Kelli and Drew were looking forward to the first precious weeks with their newborns as a joyous time in their life. Kelli and Drew have had many moments of joy to but at times have them overshadowed with the reality that they have a long road ahead. Abigail's medical bills have started to put a strain on Kelli and Drew financially and this is only the beginning. At a little over 2 months old they already must address medical bills adding up as well as future bills.
That is why I am asking for support from friends, family, and anyone who would like to donate. Anything you can give would be a tremendous help to Kelli, Drew, Kennedy, and sweet little Abigail. Thank you all for your support in advance.
