It was a regular school morning, Kelsie's alarm was buzzing.  And it kept buzzing, she wasn't shutting it off.  Running into her room, she was in bed incoherent, not responding to anything.  We called 911 , they took her to West Point Hospital, from their they flew her to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, still barely hanging on.  Thank you to all of the nurses and doctors, first response teams, ambulance drivers, helicopter crew.  All of you were so caring and kind and realized the difference a few minutes would make and took such good care of her.  We wish we had all of your names to thank you personally.

They kept her in a coma state for over a week, with little response still.

Gradually a few positive moments only to slip back, 1 step forward, 4 steps back.  She doesn't have a lot of physical strength, especially on her left side.
Now they are beginning physical therapy to develop strength and movement.

Then more steps back again, she had a high fever, it was hard to get it to respond.  Doctors said because she has a brain injury, it will sometimes create a fever situation because the brain isn't telling the rest of the body to chill out.  Our family has been so worried, prayers were given by her family, friends and church family (thank you for the blessings).

Finally, the fever broke, she is still in a room on a 24 hour watch, and friends and family take their turns sitting with her and working with her physical therapy.

She'll sometimes be able to focus and then other times not.  It's a very narrow bumpy road.

Her family thank you for your prayers, and for those who have been at her side, they thank you too.  You know who you are, we'll give them credit later.  Right now it's all about Kelsie.

The family and close friends are struggling, but they are there for her.

We love and appreciate all of you!

We'll try and update you on her progress, maybe not every day.

If any of you have pictures of yourself with Kelsie, please send them to us we'll post them, and then she will have a record of her progress and your caring.  When she can focus she'll be able to read this record of her journey and how much we all care about her.

Author Unknown to most of you!  Again it's all about Kelsie.
