Dear Friends,
On Tuesday evening, April 25th, our sweet friend, Joyful, suffered a heart attack while giving the most amazing presentation to a group of ladies at her Bible study!
During examination in the ER and after being admitted, they found an artery blocked and were able to place a stent in to open it up. However, she also suffered serious stress to the heart, which has her heart pumping at only half the capacity and she is now required to wear an external defibrillator/life pack. Of course, we are asking for prayers for a full recovery, but this will require her to be laying low for at least three months in hopes of not having to have a defibrillator permanently placed.
Joy was so excited to begin substitute teaching in the next week to help the family financially. We all know how difficult this will be for our sweet friend, as she is always the one who is going, going, going, mostly serving others! I’ve been a recipient of their family’s generosity through many trials. I’m guessing some of you have been the beneficiary of this as well. I am creating this page in hopes to alleviate the burden of medical bills and to supplement the loss of Joy’s employment.
Just four years, when my husband, Marty was extremely ill, an amazing friend created a GoFundMe page for our family. We were extremely humbled!! Sometimes God puts you in these extreme trials and you can’t think of anything outside of the moment. We would’ve never thought we needed it, but it was the most amazing gift ever,as it afforded me to be off of work, to care of my husband. It’s not a cliché when I say that if you are not able to help in this way, prayers are absolutely appreciated!
Blessings!!
