Sweet Haileys Recovery

Donation protected
Hey there, I am creating this page in hope to help raise some funds to help our friends ready for their daughter Hailey to come home.
Hailey is 2 and half years old and on June 26th was a very serious accident suffering 2nd degree burns to 36% of her body, rushed to our Perth Children's Hospital, little Hailey was admitted to ICU Ward and monitored very closely, 2 days later she developed RSV & Rhinovirus Symptoms and then on Thursday she went to have debridement surgery but was postponed as Hailey nearly died on the operating table. Hailey was placed on Ecmo that same day as she was a very sick little girl, she was on the Ecmo and a Dialysis machine to drain her kidneys of fluid, she was one these machines for 11 days.
Days past and her parents and family were at her bedside each day and night to sit with her it was such a worrying time for her family.
When Hailey came off Ecmo a few days later they attempted to extubate her and wake her up and suffered a few set backs becoming febrile, a fever and reaction to antibiotics and was put on a ventilator, days passed and she was later put in dialysis again before they attempted to wean her off sedations on the 31st July, they were unsuccessful in trying to wake her up, she was taken for a CT to check and then a MRI scan and on the 2nd August her parents received the worst news.... Hailey had brain damage to her white matter part of the brain, affecting her physical movement! they were beyond devasted for their daughter.
The doctors told her parents Aimee & Justin that Hailey will have no voluntary functions and be asleep under all of it with no quality of life and she will forget how to breath, they were offered the chance to withdraw care and let her go naturally, her parents decided to give her a chance and booked her in for tracheostomy surgery, that day they watched their daughter move her hand and give them hope.
Days after her Trach surgery she had her 2 burns surgery over 2 weeks and was finally able to leave her room and go for a stroll down the hallway and see the view.
Hailey was fitted into a special Stroller by the OT and her parents were able to push her around the hospital.

Just recently on Friday (1st Sept) her Trach was removed and she was moved to a new ward! Yay.
but Hailey's movement is still minimal and she will have to remain in a stroller as she wont be able to walk.
The Hope for Hailey is that over time with extensive Physiotherapy and OT she will be able to walk again one day but for now her parents will have to start preparing for her time for when they can bring her home.

The expense with making changes for their little girl isn't cheap and therefore I created this page to help with the idea to help.

If you can spare any amount we truly appreciate it.

Thank you for your time in reading Haileys story.
