On February 22, our four-year-old niece, Frances, was involved in a devastating accident that resulted in a severe traumatic brain injury. In an instant, her joyful, energetic little world changed, and her parents’ lives became focused entirely on helping their daughter fight to heal.

Frances is currently receiving intensive care surrounded by an incredible medical team working around the clock to manage brain swelling and support her recovery. While we remain hopeful and encouraged by her strength, the road ahead will be long and uncertain. There will be ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and many weeks, if not months, away from normal life.

Frances’ parents are devoted, hardworking people raising five young children. Like many families, they live paycheque to paycheque, and this sudden crisis has placed an overwhelming financial strain on them. Time away from work, travel costs, meals near the hospital, childcare for their other children, and future rehabilitation expenses are already adding up.

We are asking for support to help ease this burden so they can focus on what matters most right now: being at Frances’ side and supporting their family through this unimaginable time.
