I'm Ashley, and my husband Rich and I are trying to raise money to help our friends affected by hurricane Ian. Funds raied will be used to help with rent, and replacement of all of their belogings.

Our friends Corey, Sarah and Noah, with their dogs Harley and Draco, live(d) in North Fort Myers on the river and like so many others, have lost everything in the devastating hurricane that passed thru our area last week.

The water was up to the second floor of their home and nothing on the first floor is salvageable, including their vehicles. They were in their home to witness the water rise and to see the destruction of their belongings firsthand. Their flood and homeowner’s insurance is not expected to cover the cost of most repairs, and furthermore, they still need to pay their mortgage as well as rent a new place to live for the foreseeable future.

Since Thursday, they have been staying with Corey’s brother. All weekend they selflessly went back to their destroyed neighborhood to help many neighbors with cleanup, as well as gain access to generators, gas, water, and other essentials. Cory and Sarah are both teachers in Lee County and are very active in the community.
