Housing & Transportation for LGBTQ Youth

Sweet Evening Breeze is looking to sustain funding for our housing assistance and transportation programs. We are a non-profit organization in Louisville, Ky dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth ages 18 to 24 experiencing homelessness.

A $50 dollar donation amounts to one night off the street for youth in need! Once off the street and in housing, case management is provided to help get clients moved into more permanent housing.

Additionally, Sweet Evening Breeze provides other services that include a gender-affirming drop-in center stocked with outdoor living supplies, toiletries, and clothing. We also offer free counseling and therapy, free testing for HIV and HEP-C, and a community outreach program that serves 60-70 community members per week.

Your donation (whatever the amount) will go directly towards transporting, housing, and providing supplies to an individual experiencing homelessness and will provide our LGBTQ youth with their most essential needs while allowing them to become stabilized. UPDATE 6/20/2023: Since March 2023 we have been able to provide housing and transportation assistance for over 15 young LGBTQ+ adults in Louisville. Thank you for your continued support of our housing and transportation program. It has made a huge difference in the lives of the young adults we serve. Thank you!

UPDATE 11/7/2024: Sweet Evening Breeze opened it's own transitional living facility called Trager House in April that can house up to four young adults at a time. Residents at Trager House receive free rent, utilities, and furnishings as well as free case management and therapy services. Trager house is a small facility, but a huge step for the organization. We are hoping we can rely on our community to keep us up and running.
