About a week ago, Desi began with what I thought were allergy symptoms. His usual sneezing and coughing this time of year that is eased by his allergy medicine. About 2 days later, he began sneezing blood. We immediately made him an appointment, and he was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. He went home with antibiotics and eye drops. The next day, Desi began open-mouthed breathing. I immediately brought him back to the vet, and x rays showed his upper respiratory infection had progressed into pneumonia. He was a very sick boy. He was hospitalized in order to receive IV antibiotics, fluids, and breathing treatments every 6 hours. Through it all, he was the sweetest boy to his vet team. He is now home and on his healing journey. We are asking for help with his bills, as his insurance is almost capped out and will only cover a portion of his bill. Anything helps, and we are so grateful for everyone who loves him. I attached a photo of his vet bill (his vet’s personal information has been crossed out).
