Help Hiro Find Comfort: Urgent Surgery Needed
Donation protected
Hi, everyone.
I’m reaching out to share the story of my beloved dog, Hiro, who has been bravely battling a rare autoimmune disease for the past two years. This condition has tragically caused him to lose his eyesight and continues to affect the pigmentation on his nose, eyes, and gums.
Hiro has a previous history of uveodermatologic syndrome, for
which he has been receiving between 50-70mg of prednisolone once daily for approximately one year. His vision is severely impaired due to this syndrome. He is always polyuric and polydipsic due to the prednisolone. He has no other pertinent medical history, he is vaccinated up to date and regularly receives flea and worm
prophylaxis with Bravecto and Milbemax.
Despite our best efforts, the medications and treatments aimed at preserving his vision and controlling inflammation have been unsuccessful. Hiro now suffers from severe eye inflammation, leading to constant pain, pressure, and discomfort. Continuing with his current medication offers little to no benefit and may harm him further.
That’s why I’ve set up this page—to give Hiro the care and relief he truly deserves. The recommended surgery will not only alleviate his pain but also improve his overall quality of life. However, the costs of the procedure, along with follow-up care, are beyond what I can manage alone.
Hiro has been my companion, and a source of endless joy. Now, he needs your support to live a life free of pain. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring us closer to giving Hiro the relief he needs.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to both of us.
Thank you from the both of us
