Hello friends: Many of you know my Bella from FB posts or walks and coffee dates. She is a blonde heeler/Australian cattle dog and is about eight years old. She is loving, kind, patient and just a good girl. This precious dog came to the Pixie Project from a high kill shelter in Texas in August 2018. The minute Bella and I met each other, it was a lovefest! I never imagined such a wonderful pet in my life. She brings me, and all who know her, so much joy and love.

My sweet Bella has been diagnosed with several masses on her mammary glands and a large tumor on her right paw. She is scheduled for a mastectomy and removal of the tumor on her foot in late May. She will be spending at least one night in the hospital, and a long recovery is expected. Unfortunately, I don't have pet insurance and her surgery and post-care are estimated at $5,000-6,000.

As I am not currently working due to my being the caregiver for both my parents, I humbly reach out for help. I have never in my life asked for help, especially for money. Any small amount is utterly appreciated.
