I'm taking this opportunity to try to help my 21 yr old baby brother, Bram Christopher Nesenson. On Tuesday (6/12) his 2 year old baby boy, Jace Christopher Nesenson, unexpectedly left this world to be with the Lord; leaving a hole in the hearts of his father, Bram, his mother, Emily Watson, and all of those that have been blessed to experience the love, laughter, joy, and radiating energy that baby Jace projected on them in his short time in this world.
As an older brother in the military, I have unfortunately become distant from much of my family. It saddens me to know that I will not have the opportunity to experience the happiness my sweet little nephew Jace most certainly would've given me and my remote family.
Money will not fill the void Bram and Emily are struggling to accept. What it will do is help these two young parents pay for funeral and memorial expenses, as they struggle to understand their loss. It will give them an opportunity to go get something to eat on their many difficult days to follow when they struggle to get out of bed. It will give them an opportunity to read names of people showing love and support for them, many of which they have never met.
Life is challenging enough without this tragedy. Trying to find solutions can be especially difficult for young adults. My brother is an honest, hard working respectable kid. Despite having few basic amenities and privileges that others may have, he's never been the type of person to ask for anything. He takes ownership of his responsibilities and has never viewed himself as too good for any labor that could help him buy food, diapers, and clothes for his son.
As I mentioned before, I'm using this platform as an opportunity to try to help my little brother; to lower the stress added to him and Emily during this painful time. If your heart is urging you to show him love and support with a small gift, then please do. As a God fearing man that knows the power of prayer, I ask that no matter what, you pray for my brother and Emily. Pray that God surrounds him with people that show him love; people that help him to see that our God truly is a loving compassion God.
