My name is Raneen, Wafaa's mother, and this is our story. I am a widow and a mother to orphaned children. We are currently living in a tent in the northern Gaza Strip after losing everything

We are family of 4 members living in small tent after losing our homes, and I lost my husband in the war. The destruction around us is overwhelming, and many of my relatives and friends are no longer with us.

We are now entering another year o hardship, and life is becoming more difficult by the day. Ongoing conflict has forced my family to flee from place to place in search of safety, but every time they move, danger follows. There is no longer a truly safe place to go

I lost my beloved husband after a painful battle with cancer. Sadly, due to the blockade and the harsh conditions here, there was no access to chemotherapy or proper medical care. The disease quickly spread through his body, and I had to watch him suffer day after day—unable to help—until the illness took him from us.

He passed away as a father, a husband, and our only support—leaving me alone to face this life with my children, who are now left without anyone to care for them but me.

Today, my children and I are struggling to survive in a small tent. We have little food, no clean water, no medicine, and no source of income. My children need care, safety, and compassion—now more than ever.

Food prices have soared beyond what most families can afford.A kilo of flour can cost up to $30. Basic items like canned goods and vegetables are now luxuries—if they’re even available. One day a kilo of tomatoes may cost $15, and the next it might be $20.

My family is doing everything they can to survive, but the challenges are overwhelming. That’s why I’m asking for your help. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference—helping them secure food, water, medical care, and eventually the means to leave Gaza and find safety
