Help an amazing person beat cancer

Only a few weeks ago, in March 2015 Robert Montgomery was diagnosed with brain cancer. We were told the medical name.. a grade 3 astrocytoma which completely shook our lives. For anyone who knows Robert will understand what a shock this was to us all and how devastating the initial news was. For such a fit, care free and healthy man who always looked after himself and his health, to be given a diagnosis of cancer at such a young age cannot possibly be fair. Initially we followed the steps, the steps we were told and recommended by our doctors. He has already received multiple tests and scans to confirm his cancer and recently undergone brain surgery to remove part of his tumour. We were delighted and can only praise the doctors involved for removing 30% however Robert still has to live with the remaining tumour which they say is inoperable. He has been offered treatments including radiotherapy and chemotherapy to attack the remainder, but with the tumour growing in the brainstem area, it can lead to lifelong side effects which again scared us further.

I appreciate that I have not included much information about his cancer, his surgeries and their side effects as I don't want this to be a negative experience for anyone reading. We have become increasingly hopeful and positive since his initial diagnosis. We were faced with negative comment after negative comment, which is why we decided to take things into our own hands and look into how we can beat this nightmare together! We have found a lot of faith in alternative medicine recently and we strongly and undeniably believe that we can get Robert better through methods not available to us on the NHS. We have had meetings, emails and phone calls from people all over the world with similar stories of cancer including people with the exact same diagnosis as Robert who have been given a terminal diagnosis of months to live -yet are still here today and are completely cancer free. When we asked, how? We have been pointed to the same small number of alternative medical therapies which they believe cured their cancer. Robert is already 2 weeks into the courses of alternative medicine. With so many friends and family around him and supporting him, we have been able to fund these medicines between us all, however we want to share Roberts story and ask for support from the rest of our friends and family. We see a long road ahead of us but we believe with all our hearts that we can save Robert if we continue to give him these medicines alongside radiotherapy and conventional medicine. We know so many of you have asked about and care for Robert and we appreciate each and every message and thought for his recovery. We know he is strong and he can fight this and the fact of the matter is, we have no choice. The universe is not done with him yet and neither are we.

We are trying to raise money to help fund these alternative theraphies, enhance his immune system and contribute to physiotherapy when he finishes radiotherapy.
