SWCHS 6TH FORM COMMON ROOM REFURBISHMENT 2020
We are lucky at Saffron Walden County High School Sixth Form to have space to learn and to socialise, both important in creating well rounded young adults. However the Sixth Form Common Room is long overdue a refurbishment, the cafe and kitchen area are now too small for the amount of students studying post 16 (see below).
The school has been allocated funding to fix the eatery, however re-decorating, updating seating and creating a more welcoming and unified area for our students needs your help in funding please (see proposed new look in the photo below). As a community there will be various school based activities taking place to help raise money, however given the size of the space, there will definitely be a shortfall. Rather than getting you to attend quiz evenings and cake bakes, and acknowledging how busy you are, a donation based approach is being adopted.
Please donate as much as you can, we will be sending out regular updates of progress, and hope to create a space that will benefit current and future sixth formers for years to come!
