We are finally ready to record and share some of our songs. We will be recording in Cambodia in January with music producer Euan Gray. Swara means to shine your sound - your original note or essence and it's with this intention that we want to bring our music, light, and love to a wider audience. Your support will enable us to do this and we are so excited to birth this project.
SWARA is a new collaborative creation by Carolina Herbert and Bowinneth Phem.
Our music is born from the subtle meeting points of voice, breath, and silence — gentle vibrations that soften the body, invite the heart to breathe more freely, and guide the soul back toward its own remembering.
We work with minimalism and spaciousness:
delicate layers, slow movements, and clear tones shaped to touch rather than overwhelm.
There is room inside every sound.
There is a doorway inside every pause.
SWARA is less a performance and more a field of resonance — a space where tenderness becomes strength, where long-held stories loosen their grip, and where something quiet and luminous inside each listener can rise to the surface.
Our songs are like whispered lines carried on warm air: simple, honest, lived.
They hold the vibration of homecoming — back toward the body, back toward the heart, back toward the unshakable essence beneath all experience.
