Swan Tavern is Dylan O'Toole's BA Capstone film. The film centers around two siblings, Siobhan and David, as they road trip to the ocean to spread their father's ashes in the wake of his passing. Along the way, they face grief, mortality, and the inherent hilarity of siblinghood, all the while accompanied by R2-D2 and a large cheese pizza.
Meet the team:
Dylan O'Toole Hi! I am a senior at Emerson College studying Visual Media Arts, I am beyond excited to bring my thesis film to life and to work with such a gifted and hardworking producing team! I plan on using my prior experience directing and producing to ensure that this project runs smoothly, is fun to work on, and produces a great product. Thank you for trusting our vision!
Spencer Clery I'm Spencer (He/Him), a senior VMA student with a huge passion for storytelling. I have worked on several student short films as Script Supervisor to Gaffer and have been a Producer on three different shorts, including last year’s Emerson Independent Video film Framheim. For the past two years, I have developed my skills as a writer on the EVVYs, the largest student-run awards show in the country, and have learned how to craft tight and cohesive works for an audience. I love putting impactful narratives on screen in whatever way I can and as the Creative Executive Producer on Swan Tavern, I’ll be working hard to ensure the director's vision is refined and met by all departments.
Greg Tittel I am a senior VMA major at Emerson College. In past productions, I've been known for my role as a gaffer and producer. This time, I'm the Technical Executive Producer and share my love of pizza with the rest of the lovely producing team. Although my favorite topping might be pineapple, my contributions to the set will not be controversial!
Haley Clough Hi! I am a junior at Emerson College and Logistics Executive Producer on Swan Tavern. Majoring in journalism with a minor in political science, I never would have thought I would end up working on several student films during my college career, but here we are! Over the past year, I've worked on films as an Executive Producer, Marketing Advisor, and Social Media Manager. When I'm not on set, I work at the Boston Globe and on leadership teams of several student organizations. (Contrary to my producing team, I believe that the best pizza topping is no topping.)
We are so grateful for your interest and support in our project!
