Swami Ji Bhagwan Shanker Memorial Fund
Donation protected
From Raja Rampersaud, loving brother of Swami Ji Bhagwan Shanker.
My brother passed on the 8th day of the 8th month at 11:00 pm from rapidly progressive cancer of the liver diagnosed only 2 months ago. I have started this campaign to provide a legacy gift in my brother’s name. This gift will support the continuation of his charitable work in our country of birth Guyana.
Shanker was truly born to serve humanity, with a big heart and a humility that was divine. His wife, 3 children, family, friends, colleagues, and community mourn the loss of an exceptional human being. We all are devastated and heartbroken but are comforted by the higher purpose that he serves.
My brother was part of The Divine Light Awakening Society, which is a non-denominational, socio-spiritual society that is dedicated to the achievement of peace – individual, societal, global.
Over the last 20 years he has tirelessly worked and provided financial support to build an Ashram in Guyana, one of the poorest countries in South America. His selfless dedication has enabled a rural community to feed local orphanages, provide education and self-betterment for up to 500 people (and growing).
This legacy gift will be specifically used to provide additional infrastructure and supplies for a farm that helps sustain this community. A donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated. Funds raised by this campaign will be solely dispersed by myself to the Ashram in an incremental manner to meet specific sustainable goals.
