Not Just a Union — A Movement for Change

I never thought I’d be here - creating something like this, or even asking for help like this. But I’m here because I truly believe we deserve better.

Not just better contracts.

Better treatment. Better representation. A better way forward.

That’s what SWAFAA is the Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant Association.

A union built from the ground up, with one clear purpose: to finally give us the voice we’ve been denied for far too long.

I’ve been a Flight Attendant at Southwest for a while now.

And I’ve watched what’s happened to our workgroup - the silence, the fear, the growing frustration of feeling like you’re shouting into a void… and no one’s really listening.

I kept waiting for someone to fix it.

Someone to speak up.

Someone to build what we were all quietly hoping for… even if no one dared to say it out loud.

But no one did. So, I decided to try.

This GoFundMe is part of that effort. There’s no machine behind me, no political engine, no corporate dollars - just a genuine belief that we deserve better.

Just a belief that we’re worth fighting for.

SWAFAA already has a foundation.

We’ve written a full Constitution and Bylaws - not just words on paper, but a blueprint for something radically better. Grounded in transparency, built on accountability, and designed to protect the membership - not serve leadership egos or hidden agendas.

But now comes the hard part: getting it off the ground.

That’s what this fund is for - legal fees, filing costs, outreach, and tools. All the essential pieces it takes to build a real, independent union - led by us, the Flight Attendants of Southwest Airlines.

I’m not asking for handouts. I’m asking you to believe that things can be different - that we don’t have to keep settling for “this is just how it is.”

And if you’ve ever felt tired of being unheard…

Or simply disconnected from the very people who are supposed to represent you...

I want you to know - you are not alone.
