Swade Barkham - An Unfinished Story

Dear Family & Friends, it is with a heavy heart to inform that precious little 8-year-old Swade Darli Barkham has now gone to be with the Lord.

It was an unexpected tragedy that happened on Christmas Eve which resulted in her being rushed to The Royal Children’s Hospital where she has been in a critical state for the last 7 excruciating days. Today 31/12/2022, the family officially said goodbye to their beloved and precious daughter and sister, Swade.

As tough as it is for the family to grieve, unfortunately, there are unexpected expenses that go with the loss of a loved one. To alleviate the financial burden during this tough time, we are coming together to help raise funds towards funeral costs.

If you feel it in your heart and are capable of giving towards the family, it would help them out immensely during these trying times. Thank you in advance for your heart and your generosity towards Swade and family.

Swade loved everyone, was always very charitable and loved bringing people together. She was sassy, courageous, a friend to all, and had a brave heart of gold—an unfinished story. Until we meet again, we love you so very, very much, Swade.

*These amounts are only estimates, and once funeral and funeral-associated costs are finalised, any additional money raised above and beyond the total cost of the funeral will be donated to The Royal Children's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Kane, Lyndal and Keera are overwhelmed by the love, support and generosity they've received and wanted to express how thankful and appreciative they are for every single person that has contributed in one way or another. Swade will have a beautiful send-off because of your contributions, and the family couldn't have done any of this without all your help.
