There has been a devastating earthquake in Kathmandu. The people of Kathmandu are helpless without us, the international community. In the wake of this tragedy, the people of Nepal will not have access to food, water, medicine, shelter nor have any machinery to help rebuild all they have lost, they will be doing this by hand. At the moment the people of Nepal are in the streets in the darkness, too scared to re-enter their homes, it must be so terrifying.
I, Micka, (www.facebook.com/micka.devkota.5) was born in the village of Gorkha and the earthquake has reduced it to rubble, it was extremely close to the epicenter and almost every single building is gone. The school has crumbled wherein teachers were killed. These remote, mountainous villages of Nepal will be difficult to reach and it will be difficult to get aid there - I would like to help those that will not benefit as directly from International Aid.
I would like to raise money and bring it back to directly help the ones that may be forgotten on the outskirts, help rebuild the village and take care of the many, many family members living right in Kathmandu whose lives have been turned upside down. I plan to use the money to help rebuild the homes in Gorkha, Muchchok pay for medical costs and to buy food and water for the people forced out of their homes. I will be providing a running tally of any dollar spent and will update it in real time so you can see exactly where your donations are helping.
I left there just one week ago today leaving behind some of the kindest people on earth, please help me bring donations back to help start rebuilding these homes and lives.
Please help me help them.
Thank you for any support. If you are not in a position to support this cause financially, please support us by sending prayers, love and of course by sharing this campaign.
Thank you,
Micka Devkota
