Help Melissa with Medical Expenses

This non-profit organization was a grassroots effort that Melissa was motivated to begin as a way to assist cancer survivors and families in her community with the devastating impacts of being diagnosed with Cancer. Melissa felt compelled to also show support and assistance to those that lost a loved one to this disease as well.

During her 13 years of selfless giving to those in need, Melissa would never know how her own story would unfold, and on June 5, 2020, she was diagnosed with a grim prognosis of stage 4 Colon Cancer.

Her world was crashing down after finding out that she was sick and learning that she would have to receive chemotherapy for an undetermined length of time.

Melissa’s faith never waivers as she began searching for the right doctors to help her through this difficult journey she has now embarked upon.

She and her beloved family, loving and supportive Veteran husband Randy and her 3 beautiful children, Maleek, Zia, and Jamar are looking for a miracle and are continuing to believe God can do it.

They continue to stand strong, but it has become exceedingly difficult for the family to keep up with mounting medical bills and the medication Melissa needs to keep her fight on track.

As you can imagine, the mental and physical toll has been exhausting for Melissa to endure, although she pushes herself to make sure her children do not miss out on the milestones that are so important in their formative years.

Melissa and her family had to uproot their lives in California and took on the added expenses of moving to Houston to get a second opinion and additional treatment to save her life.

Now, the family has ended up in Oklahoma City where Melissa and Randy have immediate family to support them with her recovery and assist with her weekly chemotherapy.

With the mounting expenses from her medical and daily challenges, Melissa really could use your help in her battle. It has been more than a year since the diagnosis and this amazing woman who for so many years helped others disparately needs our help!
